Gentle approach
I have tried numerous solutions to maintain regular bowel movements, but I have found soft and gentle inulin to be highly effective for over a year. It operates naturally and without chemicals. If you suffer from chronic and long-lasting constipation, I recommend giving it a try—I take it at night.

Allergy relief
4 people found this helpful
I have purchased this product a second time. I was diagnosed with a house dust allergy and bought this to improve my intestinal health. I mix about 5g with tea. It can make me feel hungry, but I never experience diarrhoea. Initially, I noticed increased flatulence for a few weeks. Fortunately, my heart allergies have improved, and both nasal congestion and cough have subsided. However, since I also drink R-1 and rooibos tea, I cannot ascertain the effectiveness of inulin alone.

This product is fantastic for those suffering from chronic constipation. I find it helpful and can take it anytime without issue.
A chronic cough is defined as a persistent cough that lasts for more than eight weeks in adults and four weeks in children. Unlike an acute cough, which typically resolves within a few weeks and is often linked to temporary conditions like colds or the flu, a chronic cough can indicate an underlying health issue that may require medical attention. Common causes of chronic cough include asthma, allergies, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), chronic bronchitis, or even environmental irritants such as smoke or pollution.
When dealing with a chronic cough, it's essential to evaluate the problem holistically. Observing patterns, accompanying symptoms, and any potential triggers can be instrumental in diagnosis. If you're experiencing a lingering cough, consulting a healthcare provider can help determine the root cause and the most effective treatment options, which may range from lifestyle adjustments and over-the-counter remedies to prescription medications or further diagnostic tests.
Prebiotic fiber inulin is a naturally occurring carbohydrate found in a variety of plants, particularly in roots and tubers such as chicory, garlic, leeks, and onions. As a soluble fiber, it is not digested in the small intestine but rather fermented by beneficial gut bacteria in the large intestine. This fermentation process helps promote the growth of beneficial bacteria, which can support gut health, improve digestion, and enhance the absorption of certain nutrients. Increasing dietary intake of prebiotic fibers like inulin can contribute to a healthier microbiome.
In addition to its benefits for gut health, inulin can also help to enhance feelings of fullness and reduce appetite, making it a popular ingredient in weight management products. It is often added to food and beverage items as a texturizer or sweetener because it offers a mildly sweet flavor without contributing significant calories. Given its numerous health benefits, inulin is frequently emphasized in discussions about dietary fiber and overall nutrition, making it a valuable component of a balanced diet.
Based on user reviews, the time it typically takes to see results from this supplement can vary. Several users noted significant improvements within a week of starting the supplement. For instance, one user reported that their elderly father found relief from malabsorption and constipation after just one week of use, prompting them to reorder the product (Read Review). However, other users indicated a longer timeframe for noticeable effects, such as around 15 days, which allowed some to start feeling more satisfied with their digestive health, though they still experienced some initial discomfort (Read Review).
While some users found it relatively effective in addressing issues quickly, others expressed disappointment after several weeks without experiencing the expected benefits. For example, one individual mentioned that after three weeks of use, the supplement failed to help their chronic digestive problems (Read Review). Therefore, it seems that while many may find relief within a week or two, others might take longer, and individual experiences can significantly vary.
Based on user reviews, many individuals have reported notable improvements in their digestive symptoms after using inulin. For instance, users frequently highlight its effectiveness for chronic constipation. One user mentioned significant relief for their elderly father suffering from malabsorption and chronic pancreatitis, stating that inulin normalized his stools within just a week (Read Review). Similarly, another reported ongoing satisfaction with the product for chronic constipation, having purchased it multiple times for their father, confirming its reliability in providing relief (Read Review).
Additionally, several users have acknowledged improvements in related gastrointestinal issues, such as reduced gas and abdominal distension. For example, one user experiencing issues with irritable bowel syndrome noted improvements in both bowel regularity and abdominal discomfort by combining inulin with other remedies (Read Review). However, it's important to point out that individual results do vary widely; while many have found inulin beneficial, others have reported little to no effect on their chronic constipation, with one user expressing disappointment after three weeks of use (Read Review). As always, personal experiences will differ, and it's advisable to approach any supplement with realistic expectations.
Based on user reviews, combining this supplement with other products appears to yield varied results for those dealing with chronic cough and related digestive issues. One user noted improvement in cough symptoms while using inulin alongside other remedies, such as R-1 and rooibos tea, improving their intestinal health and alleviating nasal congestion and cough, although they couldn't isolate the effectiveness of inulin alone (Read Review). This suggests that users often explore combinations or synergistic effects with other supplements to enhance overall health outcomes.
Another user mentioned that they are successfully using inulin in conjunction with magnesium to address chronic constipation, reporting significant improvements in bowel movements after the combination (Read Review). However, not all experiences are positive, as some users expressed disappointment with the supplement alone for their chronic conditions after trying it for weeks without noticeable improvement (Read Review). Overall, while some individuals have found success by combining this supplement with others, individual results can vary widely, highlighting the importance of personal experimentation and consultation with healthcare professionals when addressing chronic cough or related symptoms.
Based on user reviews, the appropriate dose for Prebiotic Fiber Inulin when treating chronic cough is not explicitly stated, as most feedback revolves around its effectiveness for chronic constipation and digestive health. However, users suggest beginning with smaller amounts to gauge tolerance. For example, one user reported mixing about 5g with tea, indicating this was a manageable starting point for them Read Review. Additionally, another user mentioned that they initially took a larger quantity, which led to some bloating, suggesting a cautious approach of starting with lower doses might be beneficial Read Review.
Most reviews, including those from individuals with chronic constipation, highlight that inulin has diverse benefits on gut health and overall digestive improvement. While specific recommendations for cough relief are not evident, the general consensus is that inulin can positively affect the digestive system, which may indirectly contribute to improved health conditions, including coughs related to gut health. Users have expressed satisfaction with its effects and noted improvements in their bowel movements and overall well-being Read Review. Thus, while direct evidence for cough treatment is lacking, inulin's digestive benefits may warrant consideration.

After trying various remedies for chronic constipation, I discovered inulin about 15 days ago. Although I consumed a large quantity initially, leading to some bloating, continuing with the product has proven beneficial. While I'm uncertain if my constipation is fully resolved, I feel more satisfied than before and plan to keep taking it.

Disappointed user
I have struggled with constipation since childhood, for over 20 years. Despite the claims of this "miracle" remedy, it failed to have any effect after three weeks of use. I tried various mixing techniques with water but had no results, and I even developed a headache. This product does not seem suitable for chronic digestive issues.

Unexpected efficacy
While looking for remedies for irritable bowel syndrome, gas, abdominal distension, and chronic constipation, I stumbled upon a YouTube recommendation and decided to try undecylenic acid and berberine together. Even without dietary changes, I manage to visit the bathroom every couple of days or daily. There’s been a slight improvement in my abdominal distension, though the discomfort lingers in the afternoons. I intend to continue with this treatment, as the effects have pleasantly exceeded my expectations.

I purchased this product due to its favourable reviews and am using it alongside inulin and magnesium to address my chronic constipation. It has a delightful cotton candy flavour, making it enjoyable. Since I began taking it, my bowel movements have markedly improved. I plan to buy a larger size next time.
